Dr. Kyra Thornton is a small animal general practitioner at Tall Grass Animal Hospital. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Florida State University in 2019 (Go Noles!) before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023.
She is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality care for dogs and cats at every stage of life. Dr. Thornton enjoys building lasting relationships with her clients and believes that clear communication and client education are key to helping pets live healthier, happier lives. Her professional interests include preventive medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and helping families make informed decisions about their pets' care.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Thornton enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, and exploring Colorado with her fiancé. She shares her home with her cat, Nala, and her dog, Gus, who keep life entertaining and remind her every day why she loves veterinary medicine.
